Candle Vase 60s Jean Austruy

The Candle Vase 60s Jean Austruy repurposes a genuine vintage vase from the 1960s, its surface embellished with the abstract motifs characteristic of Austruy’s postwar ceramic work. Rather than sitting empty, the vase now holds a hand-poured candle scented with wood fire.

The wax is made from soy and the wick from cotton, giving the candle a clean burn of up to 150 hours inside its vintage vessel. Once the candle is spent, the original Austruy vase remains, ready for a fresh one or simply to be kept and admired on its own.
