A pair of gilded lips traces a single, unbroken line across pale cotton — Jérôme Faillant-Dumas’s graphic take on a motif as old as Man Ray, rendered here in his own vocabulary of Parisian wit. The design comes from his collaboration with Vis-à-vis, whose ateliers specialise in the hand embroidery this piece depends on: each lip line is stitched by hand, giving the metallic thread a slight, deliberate irregularity that machine work can’t replicate. It’s a fitting gesture from a designer who trained under Jacques Helleu at Chanel and built his own practice, Love Editions, on the tension between classical restraint and a knowing, contemporary flourish. On a bed dressed mostly in solids, the pillowcase reads as a single sculptural accent — best kept singular rather than paired, so the gesture stays a wink rather than a pattern.
