Lio Bedside Table

The Paris house Haymann Editions practices its own version of the French “ensemblier” tradition, curating rather than authoring: founder David Haymann selects a rotating cast of designers — Toni Grilo, Charles Kalpakian, David & Nicolas among them — and pairs their ideas with French and Italian ateliers skilled in marble, solid wood, leather and steel, so that every collection speaks a shared, disciplined visual language despite its many hands.

David Raffoul and Nicolas Bessalem describe their aesthetic as “retrofuturist,” and the Lio bedside table is a compact proof of it: a walnut top that feels immediately familiar sits on a light, L-shaped metal base that reads as thoroughly modern. Available with black feet or in any other colour on request, it brings the balance of tradition and modernity that defines the wider Lio ensemble down to the scale of a nightstand.
