Oma Table Lamp

Omã takes its name from Omama, the ancestral being who in Yanomami tradition guides shamans along the path of justice. The collection is Gustavo Neves’s response to the destruction of Indigenous lands by deforestation and mining, and centres on a sense of sacred fragility. This lamp sets a piece of selenite, a soft, translucent crystal that scratches at the touch of a fingernail, on a base of polished cast bronze. Lit, the stone glows, a delicate mineral held and protected by the metal.
