Primavera Console

The top is built from rattan canes laid side by side along its length, their nodes and shifts in tone left visible, and edged with stacked canes bent to follow each swell and recess of the outline. Two pedestals carry it, each formed from vertical canes gathered around a lobed footprint and bound at the foot with the same banding, so the contour of the top returns at floor level. Left unpeeled, the rattan keeps its outer skin, giving the surface a natural gloss and a honeyed colour that deepens with time and light. A climbing palm harvested without felling trees, rattan suits Laclaux’s commitment to responsible materials and low-impact artisanal techniques. The console shares its bent-cane construction with the Sunset armchair, and works well in an entrance hall beneath a mirror, behind a sofa, or in a country or coastal house.
