Ruedas Side Table

The Ruedas collection draws on shamanic teachings in which white and black stones stand for the light and shadow within each person. Here, a base of selenite supports a crystal top lit from within. Selenite, a crystalline form of gypsum named after Selene, the Greek goddess of the moon, is soft and translucent, and glows when light passes through it. The materials come from old residual industry lots, given a second life in a piece that is equally a table and a source of light.
