The Kiss

The Kiss by Laurent Pernot x French Cliché is a tribute to romanticism with a surreal twist. The suspended sculpture represents the lovers’ lips pressed together. Pernot used the face casting technique from a mould of two living subjects. He then sculpted the piece and carved away most of it to leave just a fragment of this romantic encounter: the two mouths bound by “The Kiss”. Hanging by a simple chain, the sculpture is a reminder that love is infinite, yet fragile.
